Maple at Meranti: Tempt Your Tastebuds

As soon as I stepped inside the newest boutique hotel along Scout Castor in Quezon City, I knew I'm in for a treat. A traditional 'Tuloy Po Kayo' was a friendly welcome. Cobonpue chairs and elegant hanging lamps adorn the interiors of Maple at Meranti Hotel. 

Maple is known for its mouth- watering dishes especially for the breakfast lovers. It is my first time to dine in here and I'm excited to gorge and gobble.

We started our Maple experience with Arugula Salad- a fresh mix of rocket arugula , cherry tomatoes and walnuts tossed with light lemon vinaigrette and topped with poached egg. The ingredients combined together in vibrant chorus.  The Chili is a mild bean, beef and pork chili soup served with sour cream and a slice of  freshly baked jalapeno corn bread. The flavors of the meat and cream impart a rich flavor.

The Instagram- worthy Chilean Mussel was wonderful too. Yes, those are not your ordinary 'tahong'. It came all the way from Chile, Cooked in premium beer and served with crostini, it was something new for my taste buds- and I loved how it made me swoon.

I'm a fan of Tapsilog. And this traditional breakfast favorite is taken to new heights here at Maple- Prime Rib Tapa. Marinated prime rib, served with garlic rice and two eggs--I'm in heaven! The prime rib was gigantic it almost felt like it will dislocate my jaw. The meat was tender and succulent and every bite was an assault to richness and flavor,

For fried chicken lovers, the Southern Style Fried Chicken should not be missed. It's three chicken pieces coated and fried until crunchy, served with natural cut fries on the side. As soon as it landed our table, we were already salivating. I liked how it is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. 

My tummy almost felt full already and much as I want to munch on the Maple Club, I had no room for it. My friends said it was delicioso too.

Be sure to gulp Citrusy Cucumber and/ or Mango and Pineapple juice --the best thirst quenchers here.

Make sure to leave room for dessert and finishing off with fresh coffee was the only way!

Great vibe, nice table setting, outstanding food, excellent service- I will surely be back.
