Dining at Dome Cafe

I had the opportunity to dine at Dome's Cafe- considered as one of Shangri-la's classic restaurants. Established in September 1997, Dome Cafe is now on its 15th year and counting.

Dome Cafe is an Australian- based company but they also offer varieties of food they refer as Dome-fied dishes like beef belly, pork chops, bangus belly and other Filipino cuisine.

Inside is a relaxing atmosphere -comfortable leather chairs and eye catching paintings. The place is full of friends and families and all seems satisfied patrons.

We started our gastronomic feast with some appetizers- Spiced Sausages, Mozzarella Sticks with Tomato Salsa and Chicken Fingers. The spiced sausages were flavorful and delicious. The tomato salsa was awesome- truly complements the mozzarella.

We also tasted some of their pasta and their best seller sandwiches. The Vigan Longganisa Pasta made me hungry as soon as it was served on our table. The piquant flavor of longganisa bits in spicy aioli sauce and roasted bell pepper tossed in spaghetti pasta is a star of this restaurant! The Seafood Aioli Pasta and the Tomato Basil with Grilled Chicken were good too.

The sandwiches unhinged my jaws. The Chicken Pesto Sandwich is a perfectly grilled chicken fillet in basil pesto with mayo, lettuce, tomatoes and onion rings. One should not also miss Dome's Classic Club Sandwich- whole wheat, creamy chicken spread, greens, cheese omelet, ham, fresh tomatoes- served with fries. Heaven!

For the main entree, we had Dome's Grilled Pork Ribs, Roast Beef Belly, Grilled Pork Chops, Bangus Belly and Fish and Chips. I enjoyed the Roast Beef Belly, the meat was tender and succulent- no wonder it landed on the Top 6 List of Spot's Roast Beef Dishes in Manila. I also got hooked with the Bangus Belly - it was palatable and fresh. The Fish and Chips wasn't only Instagram-worthy, I loved every texture and flavor of it!

There's a variety of sweets. For dessert, we had Carrot Cake, Blueberry Cheesecake and a Chocolate Cake. Im a fan of Carrot Cake and Dome did satisfied my sweet tooth. The bread was soft and moist. Their blueberry cheesecake is creamy and rich- it was divine!

I had a pleasant dining experience in Dome's Cafe. The food were exquisite and dainty. It took a while before the food were served, but it is worth the wait.

Whether you're looking for a fine resto to gather your families and friends or want to impress your date or a client or simply need to spoil your hungry belly, Dome's Cafe is the place.
